Lt Gen Bilal Akbar is a retired Lieutenant-General of the Pakistan Army and currently Pakistan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He served as Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factory Wah Cantt, Commander 10 Corps Rawalpindi, Chief of General Staff (CGS) GHQ, Director General Pakistan Rangers (DG PR) Sindh, and GOC 11 Infantry Division, Lahore. After retiring from the military, Akbar was appointed as Pakistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia in January 2021. On 28 December 2018, Akbar was appointed as Colonel commandant of the Mujahid Force Regiment stationed in Bhimber. On 12 September 2019, Lt Gen Akbar was appointed as Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factory.
