Mr Shafqat Ali Khan was born in 1969. He got his higher education from King College, London, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and Uppsala University, Sweden.

  • Appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan to the Republic of Poland in July 2017;
  • Director General (Europe), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad (2016-2017);
  • Diplomatic Adviser to the Speaker National Assembly (2014-2015);
  • Deputy Permanent Representative, Pakistan Mission to the United Nation in Geneva (2010-2013);
  • Counsellor (Political and Strategic Affairs), Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing (2007-2010);
  • In 2001-2006, served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director (Human Rights), Deputy Director (Foreign Secretary's Office), and Deputy Director (India);
  • Second Secretary, Pakistan Mission to the United Nations in New York (1998-2001);
  • Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan (1993).

Mr Shafqat Ali Khan is married with a son and a daughter.
