Mr Shafqat Ali Khan was born in 1969. He got his higher education from King College, London, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and Uppsala University, Sweden.
- Appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation in March 2020;
- Appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan to the Republic of Poland in July 2017;
- Director General (Europe), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad (2016-2017);
- Diplomatic Adviser to the Speaker National Assembly (2014-2015);
- Deputy Permanent Representative, Pakistan Mission to the United Nation in Geneva (2010-2013);
- Counsellor (Political and Strategic Affairs), Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing (2007-2010);
- In 2001-2006, served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director (Human Rights), Deputy Director (Foreign Secretary's Office), and Deputy Director (India);
- Second Secretary, Pakistan Mission to the United Nations in New York (1998-2001);
- Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan (1993).
Mr Shafqat Ali Khan is married with a son and a daughter.
