Mr. Justice Ali Baig born on 02-01-1966  in Muhallah Isqam Das Thoi Tehsil Yasin District Ghizer. He obtained his Primary Education from D.J. Primary School Drask in Thoi. Thereafter he got admission in Government High School Taus Yasin, from where he passed middle examination and afterwards he obtained his secondary education from F.G. High School No.1 Gilgit. After passing matriculation exam in the year 1981, he got admission in F.G. Degree College H-9 Islamabad and did his intermediate and graduation from F.G. Degree College H-9 Islamabad. He did LL.B and M.A. Political Science from Karachi University in the year 1990 and 1992 respectively. He started his practice as an Advocate in Karachi in the year 1990. He was appointed as Assistant Legal Advisor to the then Revenue Commissioner/Administrator N.As Gilgit on 21-01-1992 through FPSC Islamabad. He was transferred/ posted to as District Attorney Skardu in the year 1998. He performed his duties as District Attorney/District Public Prosecutor till 14-4-2005 in District Skardu and Ghanche by representing Provincial Government GB and State in District & Sessions Courts Skardu and Ghanche. He was elevated in Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court being the senior most District & Sessions Judge and took oath on 30-11-2017 as Justice of Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court Gilgit. On 01-09-2021 assumed the charge of Acting Chief Justice Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court. On 16-09-2021 he assumed the charge of the Chief Justice Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court Gilgit.
