the Quran's Surah Al Tauba fortieth verse was revealed. Also known as Ghar Thawr and Ghar e Soor, the Cave of Thawr has religious significance. According to Islamic legends, this cave is where the Holy Prophet and his companion Abu Bakr al-Siddiq found shelter when fleeing from Quraish search parties. Muhammad and Abu Bakr both resided in this cave for three days, after which they continued their journey to Medina. This event is revered among Muslims as miracles of God for Muhammad.
